Samaritan's hotstick

I have to finish the Apple/Peter/Bell hotstick story.  I must have gone back and forth to the hospital to get this stick going for him, a million times.  Consider these obstacles:

MacBook Air...running German-version, Apple operating system
NorWesTel...puts SIM card in upside down...who knew?
Bell Mobility...special configuration file for Apple, need to download to my USB stick on a PC...which meant a special trip back to the Rectory to retrieve it
Apple...need password to install software for Apple products

At the end, the nice lady from the Apple store made it all whole.  Yay!

And was it worth it?  Absolutely!  Peter almost burst with happiness to know that he could get onto the internet from the hospital.  When he saw his first, most recent email from his son, he was elated.  Also, they'll be getting out and into a hotel very shortly, hopefully.  He showed me pictures of the motorcycle and it's totally repairable, mostly cosmetic damage.  Both Peter and Edith will be fine and home in Germany for his father's 96th birthday at the end of July.

I missed seeing Sue get off the airplane because of these things, but we had a great hug and reunion at the hospital.  We had a wonderful time out at Miles Canyon on a hike, later this day.
Pictures follow at the bottom.

We had dinner at a Mexican restaurant this night, which was exceptional.  I think all three of us are enjoying Yukon Gold, to wash things down.

More important than anything was that this was my son Graeme's 21st birthday.  I spoke with him earlier in the day...he's all by himself, sort of.  His friend, Stephanie, was making him dinner.  He got out to the Palace in Guelph the night before, after work.  Reportedly, he had a good time.  wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Haley's Company Car (Bishop Larry's, actually)
